Soft and chewy Muah Chee is made from a sticky glutinous rice flour dough, cut into small pieces, and coated with ground peanuts and sugar. A simple and quick snack recipe that the whole family will enjoy.
Blend toasted peanuts in a food processor into a powder or finely chopped depending on your preference. Don't blend for too long or the peanuts will release the oil and become a paste.
Mix toppings – In a large plate or baking pan, mix together ground peanuts, sugar, and toasted sesame seeds until well combined. Set aside.
Make batter – In a large non-stick pan, add glutinous rice flour, vegetable oil, salt, and water. Mix until well combined.
Cook – Heat the pan over low heat and stir the mixture constantly until it becomes a translucent dough.
Cut and coat – Transfer the dough onto the peanut mixture. Sprinkle the top with the peanut mixture. Cut into bite-size chunks with a knife or bench scraper. Coat the chunks with the peanut mixture.
